Face Scrub

Let us agree on one thing. It feels so amazing when your skin is all smooth and baby soft, instead of dry and peeling off. So let’s wake up and wake our skin perfectly. A face scrub.

“Ok, but first coffee!”

Every single non-morning person.

So in the morning, when all beauty-loving girls (and boys) look into the mirror and think “well, I don’t look awake today”, then why not try a ‘wake up’ facial scrub.

The scrub is super easy to make and only takes 3-ingredients; coffee grinds, raw sugar, and coconut oil. You would be surprised what a bit of caffeine to the skin can do in the morning. I got the recipe from an American friend, so the measurement is in cups, but if you don’t work with the cup measures, you can always use any cup from your kitchen, just remember which size cup it is (at least for this recipe).

All you do is mix 1/2 cup of coffee grinds with 1/2 cup of raw sugar. Mixing those two first makes it easier to combine all. then you mix in 1/4 cup of coconut oil and mix until everything is combined. You can make bigger measures, but I feel like a small portion and then making it more often.

I like to start out with washing my face in cold water. Just doing that already wakes up the skin and you. Haha. Then its time to start scrubbing the coffee scrub into your morning skin.

I will say that this scrub isn’t just for the face but can be used all over if you need a full body wake up scrub.

Wash it off with warmer water (and an exfoliating glove, if you like) and whip your face down with a face washing cloth. Remember to moisturize your face so the skin stays soft and well throughout the day.
