Seasonal Shoes

A pair of shoes have to be comfortable, but fabulous. This is the golden rule of fashion footwear, so why not find out what this season has in store?

As you all know, shoes mean a lot to me. I love shoes, but shoes don’t mean only liking heels or only liking pretty shoes. For me, it’s about all kinds of shoes and when fall rolls around, we all know that it’s time for them to shine.

I wear a lot of converse in the fall. They are comfortable, stylish and with a big enough collection of them, goes with everything. Just to give a small; today’s outfit is a pair of dark blue denim jeans, a white top, yellow converse, yellow hoodie, and a yellow bandana (never go anywhere without my bandanas).

Styling an outfit for fall with the perfect pair of shoes depends on the person that is going to wear it. You can’t push someone who doesn’t like to wear heels into a pair of heels, because they won’t “own” the look. They will feel uncomfortable and out of place. You always have to feel like you are worth everything in the world when you walk out the door, no matter the season because it makes you feel good and look good and people do notice stuff like that.

“And all at once summer collapsed into fall.”

Oscar Wilde.

I was reading in the September issue of Vogue UK (one side of the hole fashion bible, US being the other) yesterday and some amazing pictures from Ralph Lauren’s show proved to me just how casual a fall fashion outfit can be. It just proves the point that fashion isn’t necessarily a pair of black heels and a super flawless dress on a very skinny woman. Fashion is in the way you wear the outfit of your choice. You have to “own it”.

A choice in color combined with seasonal wear can also mean the biggest difference between a fashionable outfit and just a comfortable outfit. This year will be a colorful fall, so no worries, if you like me, love colors.

No matter how you look and dress and which color you go for, you have to be you. As Chanel said: “I don’t do Fashion. I am Fashion.” So never forget to be you through all of it and remember to stay safe. There is a lot of people out there who care very much about you and want you in their life for many years, no matter your age.
