With Love

No matter how young or old you are, nothing is as special as a handwritten letter.
I make a grand deal out of writing letters to some of my dearest friends, who live very far away.
The letters are more a sweet little greeting since we do communicate close to daily over messages and chat.
But for me there is something special about, firstly, taking the time and effort to elegantly write a beautiful letter, but also making it an extraordinary experience for the person who will receive it.
When it comes to making the letter a little extra special, you can always add some “gifts” to the letter.
This can be pressed flowers or maybe some seeds.
It can be your favorite quotes, lyrics, or aspirations.
Pictures or stickers.
Maybe a tea bag of your favorite tea or some sweets.
You can also go all the way and make your own paper, with scent and texture.
I personally have a deep love for roses and lavender, so when I do find the time I either scent my paper with these scents or throw myself into the challenge of making lavender or rose paper with scent.
I believe that giving the letter a scent, gives the receiver a sense of feeling of your presence, even if you live miles apart.
Now for an extra little detail, which is definitely easier to do if you live close by the receiver of the letter or even work or study together.
This little extra detail is folding the letter and sealing it, so no envelope is needed.
I have a very easy way, which will be presented through pictures.

You fold the sides of the paper in, making the sides meet on the middle, then you fold the top and bottom over the middle, pushing the bottom into the top and seal it off with a wax seal or a sticker.
Finishing touch is writing the name of the receiver on the front of the letter and handing in over.
Now I hope you will enjoy keeping the beauty of letters alive with these small steps and fill others with joy and happiness.
Kisses,
Micala.
