And Breathe

Over the last couple of weeks, lockdown has taking hold of me in ways I never wanted it to do, but it’s time to stop letting myself pull down and truly taking a breath of fresh air.

Many who have been in this sticky situation of not being allowed outside, unless for the very needed grocery shopping, will know just what I mean. You don’t see a reason to leave your bed, or put on “real” clothes (the pj’s are fine). You tell yourself “today I will do the laundry, clean my living space, organize some of my things, maybe even do a little workout”….. But do you actually get to it?

I for one haven’t really been using any time on all the things I should be doing. Yes, I will start up, feeling all motivated and ready, until four days later when I feel the energy just disappear.

I think now is the perfect time to stop doing everything the same way as you have for most of this year. I for one have changed my tune.

The first thing I do in the morning, is turn on a joyful morning playlist. Nothing too extreme, but it does help me start the day with a smile.

I make sure to open my windows (if the rain isn’t coming down too heavy haha) and make my bed while dancing around to the nice music.

After making sure the room looks good, I make myself look fab. I know that this is one of the steps many skip because “why should I get ready when I have no where to go”. I will tell you why. Because when you feel good and feel like you look good, you have a mindset of doing more with you day.

Then go to the kitchen and make a nice cup of tea or coffee (depending on what you like) and maybe some breakfast, if you eat breakfast. That’s the time to just sit down and enjoy the morning. Bring along your planner and make a small ‘To Do’ list for the day.

Start in the small and build up your days. If you try too hard to get everything done right away, then you will have a hard time continuing this everyday.

Make sure that you feel good waking up and living everyday. You are worth so much here in life and should never let anyone or anything keep you down. You are strong, beautiful, and worthy.

Remember to stay safe. Kisses.
