The perfect perfume

We all have different skin types, and no, I’m not talking about the color, but our skin reacts differently to the different scent we put on. That is one of the reasons I always fell my friends to test the scent on their skin first. A piece of paper smelling nicely of the scent you have fallen in love with will only tell you what you already know. You love it.
Your skin, on the other hand, is another story. I was out shopping with a friend not so long ago when he decided that he wanted a new scent. I thought that was great and followed along, stopping him right away when he just smelled the paper and thought “this is good enough”. I convinced him to try it on the wrist first and wait a bit. You could say I was psychic or something, cause I saved him the trouble of buying a scent that smelled like pee on him.
Don’t worry. We did find him another one, but that just shows how important it is to test the perfume on yourself before buying. And this is not because there is anything wrong with the perfume or anything, it just doesn’t work with all people. And are you like me and LOVE shopping, then start in the perfume shop (whichever one you got), put a little scent here and there on your arms and as you shop on, keep smelling the spots to see which one you like the best on your skin. If all are good on you, pick one for each day of the week – wink wink.
Buying the perfect perfume is like buying the perfect pair of shoes. If you can’t walk in them or they are too big or too small or only in that color you know just doesn’t look good, then don’t buy them.

I work in a beauty store and not many realize that tiny detail. It is so common to just buy the pretty one or the one everyone talks about.
